While Zoe For Kids has been known for its collection drives, we also seek to take on projects of a more ambitions nature… ones that will have a lasting impact on so many young lives.

Description:
Our first major project was setting up a Daily Nutrition Program.
In September 2012, Marchiano Ministries partnered with the Midwest Food Bank in Peoria, IL (www.midwestfoodbank.org also www.tendermercies.com ) who not only created this nutritious mixture, suitable to the culture and palettes of your kids, but donated it as well. Since that time, shipments of this rice/bean mix, that is packed with nutrients and very filling, has been prepared, cooked and served along with meat and veg to our kids on a daily basis. Additional meals are packaged up for the most destitute to take home with them. A local nurse has observed that since this nutrition program went into affect last year, she is seeing less and less children falling below the average growth curve for other children their age. This ZoeForKids Project is making a difference!!

Status: Consultations with Flames Church
Description: The overwhelming response to the October 2013 Outreach program in Majakeneng Village has resulted in a torrent of children wanting desperately to attend Sunday School. Flames Church is having to provide food for the increased number of children and rent additional buses which is very expensive. Our hearts desire is to find a more efficient way to transport these children so that they can be spiritually and physically nourished each Sunday.

Description: We have a vision to build a local church within Majakeneng Village, that would not only serve as a church building, but a place where children could be mentored and tutored with their school work and receive personal counseling as necessary.
